04/08/2010 - St. Petersburg, FL (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Jeff Niemann left the game in the second inning of Thursday's game against Baltimore after being struck in the right shoulder with a batted ball.

Miguel Tejada lined a pitch off Niemann's shoulder of his throwing arm, and Niemann exited the game as a precaution. He was replaced by Andy Sonnanstine.

Niemann, who won 13 games as a rookie last season, was making his first appearance of 2010.
